In the digital interface design,graphics and text are the two major factors that constitute the integrity of the interface and support user perception.Different design features will bring different interface design effects,thus affecting user perception and operational performance.Therefore,the study of the user performance affected by the design of the interface graphics and texts is conducive to the evaluation and optimization of the interface design,and making the digital interface more usable.Firstly,this paper combines visual perception and cognitive psychology,and analyzes users' cognitive flow of graphics and text in the digital interface.Deconstructing the influence factors of graphics and text,analyzing the influence of graphic concept elements,visual elements and related elements on the visual cognitive performance of users,and the influence of text font,font size,and character spacing on user text reading performance.Afterwards,behavioral experiments were carried out for visual search task of icon background,font and font size.Analyzing the response time and accuracy of the users' task under different design condition.At the same time,combined with neurocognitive science,the event-related potential technique was used to perform the icon Oddball experiment and word spacing search experiment.The user behavior and cognition performance were compared with the amplitudes and latency indicators of P300 and N200 components,and the experimental results were as follows:(1)In the visual search behavior experiment of different icons background,the shape factor of the icon background has a significant effect on the cognitive performance under the plane concept factor.The user's response to the rectangular plane icon is significantly faster than the circular plane type.(2)In Oddball experiments with different icon backgrounds,P300 amplitude has a certain mapping relationship with cognitive resources,latency has a certain mapping relationship with response time.The rectangular-shaped icons occupy more attention resources and the accuracy of the task is higher.Othervise the icons of the round lines are more distinguishable and make users' respond quickly.(3)In the experiment of visual search of text font and font size,the interaction between font and font size has a significant impact on the user's cognitive performance.Comprehensive analysis of the two shows that the best match in the text task is Microsoft Black 36 px.(4)In the word searching EEG experiment with different character spacing,the N200 amplitude excited by the text with proper word spacing has larger absolute value and longer lantency.The 0.2W character space is suitable for text saccades,and the 0.4W to 0.8W character space is suitable for target searching.Finally,from the aspect of brain physiological measurement,the cognitive performance of different design levels of characteristic elements is elaborated.Then summarized the evaluation methods for evaluating the cognitive performance of digital interface graphics and texts,and proposed the theoretical basis and recommended form for interface design.Helping interface designers evaluate and optimize the design of interface icons and text.
