Due to the rapid development of mobile Internet,the demand for data transmission speed is higher and higher.Traditional communication technology,such as WDM technology and SDH technology,has been unable to meet the needs of the current market environment.OTN technology gets more and more attention in such demand.OTN technology can not only provide sufficient bandwidth which is the same with WDM,but also has networking capability like SDH.Networking,management and protection of optical layer also can be solved well,so that the network construction and maintenance costs are greatly reduced.In order to seize the market opportunities for OTN devices,how to improve the efficiency of the test and increase the capacity,become the focus of attention of equipment manufacturers.In the last decade,the communications industry has a rapid development;production test of equipment manufacturers has achieved automation.To improve production capacity,a lot of time is achieved by copying the automatic test platforms.But these automated optical testing instruments are very expensive,and the replication of an automatic test platform is a large fixed asset cost.For now highly competitive communications market,the profit rate of equipment manufacturers has been very low;the large amount of investment in fixed assets will not be accepted by equipment manufacturers.But we found that the traditional automatic test platform can only test one board at the same time;during this board testing time,Instrument is unused in a long time after it finished the related test case.If the idle time can be fully utilized,and the time sharing parallel test of more boards can be completed;it can be realized that no substantial increase in fixed asset investment,but can improve the efficiency of unit testing time.In this article,we take main business card OT of Alcatel-Lucent OTN equipment 1830 PSS for example,design and implement automatic test platform which can test several boards in parallel from hardware and software two aspects.The hardware part mainly introduces the instrument selection which is based on the OT board functions that need test;and designs the optics router topology to realize connection of the instrument and equipment.Because several test boards need to use the same instrument competitively,how to realize the parallel test of non-conflict become the focus of the design.So the software part focuses on the competition algorithm introduction and implementation.It's hoped that the concept,design and implementation method of parallel automatic test which were provided by this article,will be useful for other researchers.
