With the popularization and application of emerging service models such as cloud computing, big data, and mobile Internet, the Internet has shown great potential, but at the same time,it has exposed its drawbacks in terms of scalability, security, mobility, and service quality.Information-Centric Networking(ICN),which is designed to overcome the limitations of IP networks, emerged as the times require.Named Data Networking(NDN)is one of the most popular representatives. As a new type of future network architecture,NDN should be able to meet the different requirements of Quality of Service(QoS)for diversified services in future networks. Therefore, how to improve the differentiated service capabilities of NDN has become an important research topic. This thesis is supported by Chongqing Municipal Basic and Advanced Research project under GRANT(cstc2015jcyjBX0009)and launched on research of QoS mechanisms in NDN.The main work and innovation of this thesis are summarized as follows:1.To address the issue that NDN provide insufficient support for end-to-end services, this thesis proposes a dual-mode forwarding model based on label switching. This model divides the services into two types: content distribution services and end-to-end services, and provides targeted forwarding methods for different types of services.Simulation results show that, this model can effectively save the content of the cache space, while the end-to-end service response time on average reduced by about 37%.2.In this thesis,Name Weighted Round Robin(NWRR)is proposed to provide differentiated services for content distribution services in NDN.The NWRR algorithm performs the “combined scheduling” of interest packets and data packets in DiffServ model of NDN to provide relatively fair differentiated services for applications with different priorities.Simulation results show that, the NWRR algorithm can effectively provide services with different levels of priority for the various levels of services in the content distribution service, and can allocate network resources according to the initial weights.3.This thesis proposes a DiffServ-over-NLS model to provide differentiated services for end-to-end services in NDN,and also proposes a DiffServ-over-NLS model and proposes a service label-based Name Label Switching Path(NLSP)establishment scheme that can be used in the model. This scheme can always establish NLSPs for highpriority services along the optimal path and respond preferentially to high-priority service setup requests.Simulation results show that this scheme can guarantee the service quality of high-priority services in priority when network resources are in short supply, and can provide differentiated services for services of different priorities, and this solution has the effect of balancing the network traffic load.
