The management of visitors affects the producing and safety of enterprises which has the technical and commercial secrets.Therefore,government and companies are paying more attention of how to administrate the people in office area,not only the visitors but the employees as well.Traditional visitor management system through paper documenting has a series of drawbacks such as lack of local supervision,high cost,low efficiency,and difficulties of verifying identity and storing customer information.More importantly,many current management systems can only register personnel at entry points,but can,t monitor and track their location,behavior,and activity once they enter the company.Businesses need an efficient,comprehensive,and automated system that can address these problems.The wide adoption of mature Bluetooth technology allows to accurately track visitor locations.We managed to design a visitor management system that allows businesses to know real-time locations of all personnel and make rules accordingly to manage their area of activity.The system uses Bluetooth Low Energy to constantly send out signals.Managers will be required to wear badges that collect Bluetooth signals as location reference,send them back to servers,and pinpoint real-time locations that will be reflected on managers' computers.Location-based visitor management platforms have four modules:real-time positioning,replaying of historical running data,electronic fence,and anomaly-based detection.Real-time positioning records where visitors have been and can check data points such as time of entry and duration of stay.Replaying of historical running data,based on real-time location can replay where users have been.Electronic fence safeguards important areas and have alert system in place.Anomaly-based detection can alert the system manager when there is abnormal personnel,situations or paths.
