In recent decades,indoor human activities have increased rapidly,and technologies and designs in architecture have gone through a significant progress,which resulted in strong desire of sophisticated and complicated service provided indoor,including Indoor Positioning Service.It's then that the era of Indoor Positioning arises.Over the years several resolutions and multiple technologies aiming to fulfill the needs of Indoor Positioning are seen now and then,keeping this era warm.For now,Technologies used in Indoor Positioning are mainly Wi-Fi,ZigBee,RFID,Bluetooth,LED,Computer Vision,Geomagnetism,Ultrasonic,and UWB;corresponding theories of positioning are also studied sufficiently.But speaking of appliances,none of the resolutions has been widely used and universally applied.They are all only provided in testing situations or special cases.In this thesis,recent researches of this era are gathered and analyzed Firstly,focusing in the advantages and disadvantages of all the resolutions mentioned above.The reasons why they all work out unexpectedly are discussed and the criterion of Indoor Positioning is raised.Secondly,targeting all the limitations of other resolutions,a refined and robust resolution is newly pronounced,which is based on Bluetooth Low Energy,designed upon the idea of Precise Grid Measuring,and can ease the difficulties of deployment and maintenance.The reasons why this newly pronounced resolution can conquer the problems that others cannot are fully illustrated,and the two obstacles this newly pronounced resolution must overcome are also addressed.Thirdly,the ways to overcome one obstacle mentioned above are addressed.It is mainly about designing some tricky BLE devices that can enable the design which contains special and strict acquirements to the devices.These devices are proved to be acquirable and producible in this thesis.The work around this helps ease the difficulties of maintenance.Fourthly,the ways to overcome the other obstacle mentioned above are addressed,too.Due to the cost of Precise Grid Measuring,a simple and cheap method must be developed to help acquire the massive amount of coordinates of the devices.Inspired by the theory of SINS(Strapdown Inertial Navigation System),an algorithm based on Dead Reckoning is developed over Android OS,using the IMUs and other sensors built in smart phone.Some tactical filtering is applied to help ensure the accuracy.The work around this help ease the difficulties of deployment.Finally,the designs of the resolution are verified,and the prospect of future work is discussed.
