Graffiti,as one of the important forms of street art activities, has a history of about half a century. But up to now, street graffiti is still regarded as "alien" and exists in the public space of the city.British scholar Anna Waclavik used the concept of "non-space" to refer to the living environment of graffiti art in urban space. This paper reinterprets this concept on the basis of quotation, and uses it as a cut to analyze the nature and significance of the "non-space" place constructed by graffiti,a "non-mainstream" art activity. The main body of the article is divided into three parts:The first chapter mainly introduces what kind of space this road is tied up with street graffiti.Through the analysis of graffiti texts and activities of street graffiti artists,it shows the characteristics of this "non-space" brought by the injection of street graffiti as an artistic form, and explains the content of this street space with different characteristics when it is used as an alternative space media and what is the meaning. The second chapter mainly describes the connection between space.Starting from the connection between "non-space" and "mainstream space" of graffiti, this chapter investigates the connection between the space and external space consciously or unconsciously in content production,in order to explore its significance in urban communication.Chapter three draws people's attention back to themselves.Through the narration of people's experience and feelings when they pass through or stay in this space,it concludes the spatial characteristics of this graffiti "non-space":alternative,abandoned,free or other.Different spatial experiences endow this street with its unique significance in urban space.By summarizing the main contents of the three chapters, the article believes that this kind of "non-space" place should be given a "place" in urban space. As an alternative medium,it connects different kinds of space in the city, and also opens up a new way of urban communication,so that people in the city have a different sense of spatial experience.Urban managers should see the value of such "non-space" places in stimulating the vitality of urban space and increasing the significance of urban space, and think about how to better build a communicable and communicable city.
