The Research On The Description Of The Institute Of History Of Chinese Academy Of Social Sciences's Collection Of Oracle-bone Inscriptions

The Institute of History of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences' s collection of oracle-bone inscriptions is an important and valuable work compiled by the Institute of History of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in recent years.Published by Shanghai Classics Publishing House,the book is divided into three volumes,totaling 670 pages,in which a number of valuable oracle inscriptions are recorded,many of which hasn't been recorded before.Some of the oracle bones collected have been recorded in the Oracle Collection and Oracle Collection Supplement.Social Sciences' s collection has clear rubbings and photographs.It learns from the predecessors' study and becomes more accurate,but inevitably there are some errors in such a huge work.My thesis conducts a comprehensive collation and study of Social Sciences' s collection from five aspects such as the description style,definition,integrity,rubbings position and interpretation collation.The main part of the thesis interpretation collation,mainly from the following six aspects such as misinterpretation,missing interpretation,derivatives,the decision of the filling up vacant words,the misreading of form and arrangement of lines and so on.
