With the advent of the web 3.0 era,the openness and inclusiveness of the Internet domain has turned the voice of speech,the marginalized groups in the past have now been given the power to express.The social video platform has become the self-presentation stage favored by the public at present because of its decentralization,civilianization and originality.In order to further improve the public's understanding of this new social space,based on the theory of empowerment to interpret the premise of individual self-presentation and Goffman's self-presentation theory,the process and influencing factors of individual self-presentation on social video platform is analyzed in this paper.The author takes the Tik Tok and KWAI users as the research object,regards the social video platform as the “stage” of users' performance and divides the stage into “foreground” and “background”.The author first explores the stage under the birth of self-empowerment and technical empowerment,and then deeply analyzes the performance elements constructed by users in the foreground performance process,such as script,role,image,etc.Then the author analyzes the influencing factors of performance,which is the part that is hidden in the background and not visually presented.Based on the above analysis,the author summarizes the characteristics of social video users' self-presentation,and it can be used as a reference for the self-presentation of social video users.The author mainly adopts the literature research method,the questionnaire survey method,the in-depth interview method and the content analysis method in the research process,and sorts out related theories,user usage,user presentation content,etc.By analyzing the user's choice of strategy and its influencing factors in the process of self-presentation,the author summarizes the impact of users' self-presentation on social media onthe existence of personal and social relations,and makes some suggestions on the problems of video socialization.It is found that self-presentation behavior of individuals is realized by the self-presentation subject through different impression management strategies,and the impression management strategy is influenced by multiple factors such as demographic variables,motivation for use,self-monitoring and so on,Factors affecting different impression management strategies are as follows:(1)gender,age,and viscosity of use have a significant positive impact on proactive strategies;Entertainment,attention,and social motivation are significantly positively correlated with proactive strategies;high self-monitoring,orientation of others also has a significant positive impact on positive proactive strategies.(2)There is a significant negative correlation between entertainment and the motivation of attention and the fuzzy generalization strategy and the orientation of others has a significant positive impact on the fuzzy generalization strategy.(3)Social motivation has a significant reverse impact on negative passive strategies;high self-monitoring and orientation of others have a significant positive effect on negative passive strategies.The degree of influence of different factors is different,and self-presentation behavior of individuals will also be different.Most individuals can maintain the balance between self-harmony and interpersonal harmony in the process of self-presentation.
