Data center is a cluster of servers, which is usually an organic aggregation of tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of servers. These large numbers of servers are interconnected according to a certain structure to provide sufficient storage space and data management capabilities for enterprises and countries. The huge number of servers in the data center determines its performance and interconnection mode are closely related.Just as the topology of Ethernet determines its network capacity and communication characteristics, the structure of the data center also has a great impact on its performance and capacity.Currently, the research on the network structure of data center can be divided into two categories: one is the wired data center network, the other is the wireless data center network.ExCCC-DCN is a data center network based on ExCCC network structure.ExCCC's full name is Exchanged Cube-Connected Cycles, which is a highly scalable topology extended from Exchanged-Hypercube.ExCCC-DCN inherits the high scalability of ExCCC,and has excellent node capacity. Its construction cost and running energy consumption are relatively low.It is very suitable for deploying large-scale data centers.However,ExCCC-DCN is deployed using wired links, which have the advantages of stable connection and guaranteed communication quality. But there are some problems in the construction of wired links, such as complicated wiring and inconvenient maintenance.Especially when tens of thousands of cables need to be upgraded or maintained in the later stage, the amount of engineering will be huge.Because 60 GHz millimeter wave has the advantages of high transmission rate, strong anti-interference and high security,it is very suitable for wireless transformation of data center. But 60 GHz millimeter wave also has a big disadvantage, which is short transmission distance and easy to occur signal blocking. Therefore, beamforming technology is usually needed to improve the reliability of communication in practical applications.Based on the study of the topology of ExCCC-DCN and the communication characteristics of 60 GHz millimeter wave, this paper proposes two schemes for the wireless transformation of ExCCC-DCN,which are the wireless structure of ExCCC-DCN and the hybrid wireless and wired ExCCC-DCN.The main research contents include the following aspects: 1)Remove all the wired links and switches in ExCCC-DCN,reserve only servers and switches at the top of each rack, and install a horn antenna fixed by the crank bracket at the top of each rack to transmit and receive 60 GHz millimeter-wave signals,so as to construct a wireless ExCCC-DCN.When deploying the reconstructed wireless structure, according to the symmetry of ExCCC-DCN structure,it is divided re- cursively according to the bisection width. Each unit after division is set at different altitudes so that its spatial coordinates are distributed on a sphere,so that any three antennas in each network unit will not be in the same line, which can be effectively avoided the occurrence of signal blocking.2)The structure characteristics of wireless ExCCC-DCN are analyzed from three aspects: routing path length, network diameter and node degree, and the related proofs are given.A simple and reliable unicast routing algorithm is proposed. Then the node connectivity and routing path length of wireless ExCCC-DCN are analyzed through experiments, which proves that the modified wireless structure has greater node connectivity and shorter routing path length.3)On the premise of keeping the original structure of ExCCC-DCN unchanged,a hybrid ExCCC-DCN is constructed by installing a top of rack antenna. The reconstructed hybrid network not only inherits the original structure characteristics of ExCCC-DCN,but also effectively reduces the network data traffic and improves the network throughput.4)The hybrid ExCCC-DCN is divided into several pod,and the wired part and the wireless part are ab- stracted separately to form a wired network subgraph and a wireless network subgraph.Based on this,a multicast routing algorithm is designed, and the performance of the algorithm is analyzed from a math- ematical point. Finally, the comparison experiment proves that the algorithm can effectively reduce the number of multicast links and improve the data throughput in multicast communication.
