In recent years,microwave technology has developed rapidly,especially in microwave power divider,which play an important role in radar,communication,antenna and other microwave systems.Power divider is a kind of microwave device for power distribution,and it also can be used for power synthesis in reverse use.There are two main types of power dividers:the first is a waveguide structure divider with high power capacity,low energy loss,and large bandwidth;in view of the large size of the waveguide structure divider,which is not conducive to integration,engineers have designed a microstrip structure divider that is small in size,low in cost,stable in performance,and easier to integrate with active circuits.The technical indicators of the power divider mainly include:input port standing wave,amplitude and phase consistency,output port isolation and insertion loss,which affect the availability and reliability of the entire microwave system,especially those with high power and high power capacity.This paper aims to study the design of high performance power divider for phased array radar systems.Since phased array radar technology is widely used in spaceborne and airborne systems,it is particularly necessary and urgent to develop a power divider with excellent performance,high reliability,low cost and volume and weight constraints.In this paper,research work is carried out from requirements analysis,HFSS simulation optimization,device selection,process manufacturing,etc.,and a light and small broadband microstrip power divider is obtained which has the characteristics of excellent amplitude-phase consistency,high power capacity and high reliability.Especially for the space application environment,the anti-microdischarge design and the power derating design are carried out,and the advanced gas-phase welding technology is adopted to improve the reliability and consistency of the power divider products.The products are being widely used in ground,airborne and spaceborne microwave systems.Therefore,this paper mainly summarizes the development process of microstrip power dividers.The main work of the paper is as follows:1.Introduced the background of the microwave power divider project:briefly summarizes the development of broadband and unequal microwave power dividers at home and abroad,and introduces the research content and technical indicators of this topic.2.Explain the basic theory of microwave power divider,including theoretical analysis and circuit structure selection of Wilkinson divider and Gysel divider.3.The simulation design process,simulation results and design layout are given respectively for the two microwave power splitter structures.4.Analyzed and improved the power capacity design,structure design and process design of the two microwave power splitters,which greatly improved the amplitude and phase consistency,reliability and environmental adaptability of the products.At the same time,the development results of two kinds of microwave power dividers are given.5.The product index was tested and compared with the simulation results.The development work was summarized.
