With the rapid development of microwave communication technology, as a important part, power divider, one of the important devices, is widely used in antenna feed network and radio-frequency channel, such as antenna array, power amplifier, phase shifter, and modem. As the frequency resource is becoming more and more intense, the demand of the multi frequency power divider is also increased. Its multi-functions and integration have become a hot research topic in the field of international research. This paper research in the design of dual-band power divider and tri-band power divider. Based on the microstrip structures such as step-impedance resonator, this paper presents the method of a dual-band power divider, a miniaturization tri-band power divider, an improved tri-band power divider. The major content of specific work is above:First, this paper makes collation and analysis of a number of related literatures, and summarizes the research status and focus of multi-frequency power divider. Then introduces the relevant indicators, design methods and resonator theory of power dividers. Based on Wilkinson power divider, we use two order impedance converter loading shorted shunt stub instead of a quarter wavelength converter. Using the odd even mode method and transmission line theory, we get the design formula of the dual frequency power divider.The compact dual-band power divider of the 0.95 GHz and 2.2GHz is realized. Then we use the full wave simulation software to verify the accuracy of the design method. Finally, the circuit board is fabricated and tested for the dual-band power divider, and the measured results are similar to the simulation results, which is in accordance with the design requirements.Then,in order to meet the needs of multi-frequency microwave devices. Using the same three order triple section step-impedance resonators, through the slot coupling, the design and implementation of a tri-band power divider have been done. The size of the whole power divider is small, and the power divider has the filtering characteristics through the folded microstrip line. On the basis of the simulation, the real test results are in good performance, which is in accordance with the design requirements.Finally, based on the miniaturized tri-band power divider, we put the spur line structure on the resonator and add edge rectangle ring defected structure on the ground plane.By adjusting the spur line and the size of the show rectangular ring,we can achieve a good stop-band rejection power frequency divider. The testing results of the real object are the same as the simulation results. The validity and accuracy of the design method are verified.
