As data center traffic pressures continue to increase,data centers face unbalanced link loads.In this context,burst traffic is likely to cause heavy link congestion and packet loss,which affects network service quality.Traditional network architectures are prone to link load imbalance due to the lack of a global view.Compared with the traditional network,the SDN network can use the network status information of the global view to route and re-route the traffic,so that the link load is balanced,the packet loss rate is reduced,and the network service quality is improved.The paper focuses on the unbalanced data traffic load in the data center,and the burst traffic is easy to cause packet loss.The SDN load balancing technology in the data center is studied.The SDN load balancing algorithm based on bandwidth utilization is proposed.The data center is designed and implemented.SDN load balancing system.The main work of this paper is as follows:1)With the problem of packet loss caused by unbalanced software-defined network link load,the load balancing technology is studied.Metrics of SDN load balancing are summarized.The key factors of SDN load balancing routing strategy are analyzed,such as the bottleneck of the path can be reached,the remaining bandwidth of the link,the average remaining bandwidth of the link,and the standard deviation of the remaining bandwidth of the reachable path link after the superimposed flow.According to the key factors of SDN load balancing,this paper proposes a load balancing mechanism using link bandwidth(LBLB)(Load Balance Mechanism using link bandwidth).After a lot of parameter tuning experiments with the packet loss rate,this paper establishes the optimal parameter weight ratio of the LBLB algorithm.2)Traffic is forwarded and re-scheduled using the LBLB algorithm.When the traffic enters the SDN switch for the first time and does not hit the switch flow table,the LBLB algorithm is used to comprehensively score each reachable path,and the path forwarding traffic that is favorable for network load balancing is selected.When congestion occurs,the LBLB algorithm is used to re-schedule traffic on the congested link to the link with low load to avoid packet loss on the congested link and improve network service quality.3)Designed and implemented an SDN load balancing system for the data center.The information statistics module,the load balancing policy module,the flow table delivery module,the link discovery module,the topology management module,the topology calculation module,the rescheduling reminder module,and the evaluation index statistics module are implemented.The effectiveness of the load balancing system based on link bandwidth utilization is verified by experiments.
