As the earliest area of home-stay development in China,the home-stay operation in Taiwan has perfect laws and regulations constraints and mechanisms upon the development of nearly forty years.Nowadays,with the fierce competition in Taiwan home-stay industry,the excellent home-stay operation modes and philosophy in Taiwan have become the learning object of the home-stay in the mainland China.The research selects the representati-ve home-stay in Taiwan as the research example,it is found that the home-stay selects different media for promotion under the media environment in different eras by the observation and interview on the home-stay's opinions of using media in different times.The home-stay dealers'opinions are extraordinary consistent with the promotion effects of different media.The research teases Taiwan media transition and the development vein of home-stay in the view of media environment,it emphasizes to explore the influence of the interactions between the media technology and home-stay industry in the media environment formed in different media development era.The research finds that the media and home-stay form the mutual situation in the old media era:the media industry competition was fierce after the paper media was relieved in Taiwan Newspaper,which prompted the newspaper industry to pay attention to people's livelihood;however,the paper media not only provided the travel layout to home-stay,but also provided opportunities for the urban workers to start up the home-stay business,which promoted the booming of home-stay industry indirectly.In the new media era,media played the catalytic action on home-stay business:the 1st generation network medium like PTT forum,BBS started to enter in the public's life,the information circulation broke the regional limitation,home-stay can be promoted in various kinds of channels.The home-stay in the new new media era relies on the network media strongly:the era is combined with the traditional media technology and new media,lots of exposure makes the home-stay industry develop rapidly and pursued by consumers.But when the network brings the considerable profits to home-stay,it also brings more uncertain factors for home-stay dealers and consumers:the network makes the home-stay customer source uneven,which increases the operation cost virtually;the electronic public praise counterfeit causes the fierce competition,the "navy" hidden in the evaluation affects the consumer's judgment......Therefore,when it comes to the public praise of home-stays,we should pay attention to the marketing of both traditional public praise and electronic public praise.More importantly,it should maintain the characteristics of the home-stay and enhance the accommodation experience to adapt to the changing media environment.
