Research On Real-time Moving Target Detection Technology Based On DM6467

Moving target detection is a key basic technology in image processing technology, it's also an important prerequisite for the further processing of video images, there is a wide range of applications whether in civilian or military fields. DM6467 is a high-performance DaVinci series chips introduced by TI company, widely used in video image processing field. In this article, with DM6467 chip as the core processor of the moving target detection technology research.Firstly, this article made a brief presentation of moving target detection technology and its development, followed by introduced the TI's DaVinci technology, then introduced the overall structure and function of the moving target detection platform, and introduced the video acquisition front-end, the display unit and the laser range finder unit in detail. According to the project requirements, this article developed a image processing board based on DM6467 chip, and introduced this image processing board in detail, including the main port and resources of the image processing board, focusing on the design of the core circuit and video input and output circuit. Finally, this article introduced the DVSDK which is the tool for DaVinci platform software development, introduced how to implement the algorithm by DVSDK in detail, then studied several moving target detection algorithm, and transplanted all the algorithm to the image processing board. After completion of the algorithm transplantation, this article write the corresponding application program to implement the video capture, processing and display function, and add a menu in the application program to achieve the function of the switching for two-way video and the selection of different algorithms. Then compared the detection result of each algorithm by experiment. Finally, verified the feasibility of the background modeling algorithm based on mixture Gaussian model this article finally selected.
