The Journey Of Seeking Survival:A Research About Rohingya's Intercourse And Identity

Transnational mobility itself is a kind of interaction.Basing on the social network of the outflowing land,people are moving across the borders,and they develop contacts in the inflow areas to form new social relationships.For the stateless Rohingya people,such cross-border flows involves more complex factors,which point to the question of the status of survival.The object of this research is the Rohinya jeweler group in Ruili City,Dehong Prefecture,Yunnan Province.Through three years of continuous field investigation,combined with relevant research data,the relationship between the communication and identity of Ruili's Rohingya jeweler is outlined.This paper takes this particular case as the case study to try to answer the question of the relationship between cross-border interaction and identity transformation.This article explores the Rohingya jewelers in China with the vision of communication and anthropological methods,which is based on the author's research process and research ideas.This article involves jewelry merchant business process as the warp and involves jewelry merchants association picture as parallel,then vertically constructed rohingya in Ruili living landscape and organizational structure,which further analyzed the relationship between Rohingya's communication and identity recognition.Finally,through the investigation of the identity and communication of the Rohingya,this paper answered the following questions that the relationship between transnational interaction and identity transformation is a kind of mutual influence and mutual construction relationship.Through the investigation of transnational interactions and identity conversion,the author puts forward two ideas:First,for the study of transnational mobility,we can regard identity as content and regard communication as form,and then abstract cross-border communicational form from identity change.This is a new perspective on communication studies in the face of transnational mobility issues,and a re-discussion on formal sociology.Secondly,the author proposes that cross-border movement can to some extent break the social division brought by stigma,aiming at the survival strategy of Rohingya jewelry merchants,which expanded the stigma theory and transnational mobility theory to a certain extent.
