At present,network video service is developing rapidly,and has become an indispensable part of people's life.With the development of multimedia technology,panoramic video is emerging.Traditional video services no longer satisfy people's growing demand.Unlike traditional video,panoramic video has wider viewing angle and stronger immersion.With the rapid popularization of panoramic video,people's requirements for panoramic video quality are also increasing.Therefore,the research on quality assessment for panoramic video is becoming more and more important.However,the user's subjective experience of panoramic video is not only influenced by the quality of the video itself,but also related to many factors such as the network transmission bandwidth.How to accurately analyze the impact of these factors on the user's perceived quality is the difficult point of the current research on quality assessment for panoramic video.At present,there is still lack of research on the perception quality assessment for panoramic video.Therefore,this paper focuses on the perceptual quality assessment of panoramic video for monitor and Head-mounted display devices.Generally,in the process of network transmission,panoramic video has a larger amount of data and more bandwidth than traditional video of the same resolution.Therefore,when the playback rate of panoramic video is greater than the network transmission rate and the video buffer is empty,the stalling phenomenon often appears in panoramic video,which will reduce the quality of the user's experience.In view of network panoramic video services,we first study the perception quality assessment of panoramic video for monitor.According to the experimental results obtained by the subjective experiment,the relationship between the stalling factor and the panoramic video perception quality is analyzed,and the perception quality evaluation model of the panoramic video is finally established.In addition,in the study of video quality assessment,the testers often need to watch video in the manner prescribed by international standards,which is inconsistent with the user's daily viewing method and does not reflect the actual viewing experience of users in daily life.Therefore,this article also conducts subjective experiments for real viewing scenes,and establishes a corresponding perception quality assessment model of panoramic video.The experimental results show that the performance of the two models is better than that of the international standard P.1203.With the popularity of panoramic video,there are more and more types of display devices.In addition to flat displays,people often use Head-mounted display devices to watch panoramic video.Compared with the flat panel display,when the user watch the panoramic video using the Head-mounted display device,the immersive feeling is stronger and the user's experience is better.This article first aims at the situation of watching panoramic video with the Head-mounted display devices,and studies the relationship between user experience and stalling factors through questionnaire survey.Then,through subjective experiments and analysis of experimental results,the relationship between the stalling factor and the perceived quality of panoramic video is studied,and the perception quality evaluation model of the panoramic video is finally established.Through analyzing the experimental results,it is found that the performance of this model is better than that of the international standard P.1203.In addition,when playing a traditional video with stalling,the user can often continue to watch by playing back the video,so that the stalling has little effect on the user's experience.In order to further study the impact of playback on the perceived quality of panoramic video,this article conducted a subjective experiment for the scene of watching panoramic video with Head-mounted devices,and analyzed the experimental data.Through analyzing the experimental results,it can be known that playback has a certain influence on the perceived quality of the panoramic video and can improve the user's viewing experience.
