2019 is called the first year of 5G.Compared with 4G and WIFI,5G communication has three characteristics of high speed, low delay and wide connection. With the maturity and landing of 5G technology,it is bound to promote the development of wearable devices, represented by head-mounted displays. With the development of recent years, the function of head-mounted display has become more and more comprehensive, but it is still limited by the application scene and visual resources, and the problem of less 3D film source is always prominent in the civil aspect. On the military side, how to better provide visual information on the battlefield with head-mounted displays as an auxiliary observation device is also in urgent need of research. To this end, this paper proposes a new head-mounted display scheme, this scheme uses the programmable logic device(FPGA)as the core of the system control and image content processing, and achieve the transformation from single channel 2D video to dual channel 3D video in FPGA.Finally displaying the 3D video on binocular display real-time.This paper firstly studied the overall scheme of the system, and put forward the specific scheme of the three stages of design, implementation, test and verification, and completed the system under the guidance of these schemes, and finally formed this paper. In terms of hardware, this paper uses FPGA chip as the processing core to build the prototype platform of the system, uses external camera as the video input,SDRAM as the data cache, and Liquid Crystal on Silicon(LCoS)microdisplay as the video output device, and adds a configuration board to power it,and completes the initialization configuration. In FPGA,clock control, image processing, cache, prediction frame generation, pixel driver and other modules are designed in Verilog.Modelsim simulation ensures the correctness of functions. As for algorithm,The transformation from single channel 2D video to dual channel 3D video is studied, and a new frame displacement method based on the prediction between frames is proposed. And the method is successfully implemented in the prediction frame generated module in FPGA chip.Two-channel 3D video is successfully output only under the condition one-channel 2D video input. Finally, according to the demand analysis proposed in the initial stage, the system's indicators are tested and verified. The system is qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed from three aspects: basic test, display capability test and stereoscopic effect verification, and the research work of this paper is verified.
