The phase-based measurement and processing method has the highest measurement resolution in terms of time-frequency measurement,and therefore has a very wide range of application prospects.However,the traditional phase comparison requires that the nominal values of the frequencies of the two signals are the same or have a certain multiple relationship.Therefore,for two frequency signals with complicated phase relationships,it is necessary to resort to some complex frequency conversion circuits to perform normalization processing,and then perform phase comparison,which leads to certain restrictions on its application.The generalized phase processing expands the direct phase comparison to any frequency signal and the phase comparison can be directly performed without complicated frequency conversion.However,this generalized phase processing is implemented in the analog state,and there are many uncertainties in the processing,such as the complexity of the hardware circuit and noise,the limited speed of the device,and the drift of the device during long-term operation.These problems still restrict the further improvement of measurement accuracy.In view of this reality,this paper proposes a direct digital phase processing method using A/D conversion on the basis of a large number of research work.That is,A/D digital processing is performed on the measured signal at the forefront,then based on the study of the frequency-phase relationship between the signals of any frequency and the processing of the locked process of the controlled signal,the digital phase processing technology is finally applied to the frequency link of the complex signals to realize the direct phase or time comparison between any frequency signals,so as to achieve precise frequency control under simple hardware conditions.Such a processing method to provide a new idea for high-precision phase processing.This complex frequency link scheme,based on digital phase processing,combines the digital technology that is currently in rapid development.Compared with the traditional method,the new scheme not only expands the scope of phase processing,simplifies the system structure,but also improves the accuracy of measurement.On the basis of theory,the experiments proposed in this paper were verified by the self-aligned experiments with the same frequency homology and the voltage-controlled locking experiment of the controlled signals.The final simulation and experimental results show that this research scheme is feasible and obtains higher resolution.If this high-precision measurement scheme is applied to the atomic clock frequency link system,the high-stability output of the voltage-controlled crystal oscillator can be locked at the standard frequency of the quantum part of the atomic clock,and then the atomic clock can be made by clock excitation and clock servo control.The final output has excellent performance indicators.The content of this research is an important development direction to improve the measurement accuracy in the future,and it is of great significance to the development of modern and future time-frequency measurement and control.
