High precision phase synchronization is the key to the time and frequency transmission and matching to solve the problems. It will help solve the new standard atomic frequency and the precision of phase noise measurement. And play a powerful effect for the whole frequency transfer and development in the field of navigation and positioning. The traditional phase synchronization based on the same frequency, aiming at the phase synchronization between different frequency signal. We need some help, such as frequency mixing, frequency doubling, frequency synthesis series transformation process. Using the normalized frequency, normalized circuit not only has huge volume, complicated structure, and easy to introduce noise, so the synchronous precision is difficult to guarantee. To simplify the circuit structure, reduce costs and shorten the development cycle, implement between RF signals’ stability and accuracy of precision transmission. High precision phase synchronization method is proposed. And studied its key technology.First of all, making use of different frequency signals between the group of phase quantization characteristic, established between RF and microwave phase group synchronization platform, has realized the different frequency phase’s continuity and synchronicity, made the different frequency signals’ directly precision of frequency control possible, as the same time laid a solid foundation for precision frequency source’s stability and the accuracy of high precision.Secondly, in traditional phase comparison,aiming at complex frequency conversion process, low measurement resolution ratio and difficult to ensure synchronization precision, a method based on phase group synchronization precision frequency link has been proposed in this paper. The method is characterized by the least common multiple period between arbitrary signals, using regularity of phase quantization step, build phase group synchronization between two different frequency signal, one of the signal’s frequency stability and accuracy transfer to another frequency signals, and then realize the precision of frequency signal links. Experimental results show that compared with the traditional method, this method has the advantages of simple frequency chain, low cost, and high precision links.Finally, based on the analysis of the physical properties of phase synchronization, using FPGA technology, designed and developed a kind of high precision phase synchronization system of fast operation speed and high reliability. By use of transform the frequency standard and measured signal’s conditioning, establish a high precision phase coincidence point and same frequency pulse to get high precision phase synchronization of two different frequency signal. Test results show that the system has high resolution and stability.
