With the continuous development of radar system,the array radar can form antenna beams flexibly because of its spatial sampling characteristics.Therefore,it can be more convenient to achieve the airspace processing of target detection.The array radar integrates the phased array and MIMO multiple radar systems,as well as the versatility of searching and tracking,making it more and more widely used.It is a boom in recent years.With the continuous improvement of the function of radar signal processing algorithm and the large-scale improvement of A/D sampling,higher performance requirements have been put forward for signal processing platforms.Real-time performance,high efficiency,large data volume and multi-beam are the main requirements of signal processing.Therefore,the multi-core architecture signal processor emerged.In the past few years,with the suspend production of ADSP-TS201 S of ADI company's Tiger SHARC series in the DSP market,TI company has the highest share.Its best performance is C66 x series DSP.The project implementation of this paper is based on Xilinx Virtex6 FPGA and TI's TMS320C6678.TMS320C6678 consists of eight cores with a frequency of 1.25 GHz and can perform fixed-point and floating-point operations.It also integrates numerous peripheral interfaces,which support system-level expansion and interconnection,and provide strong support for data transmission between boards and chips.In addition,it adopts the Open VPX standard for the board interconnects of radar signal processing platform in the project,which has good compatibility with different types of VPX boards.Firstly,this paper describes the basic principle of array radar and introduces the signal model used in phased array mode and MIMO mode,and makes a comparative analysis for different signal forms.Secondly,the paper introduces the algorithm processing used in the project in detail,and then simulates the whole process.The algorithm mainly includes digital beamforming,pulse pressure,moving target detection,constant false alarm detection,point aggregation,angle measurement and so on.Next,several kinds of angle measurement methods in MIMO mode are briefly analyzed,and a bistatic MIMO radar angle measurement method using distance information is implemented.Then,the paper introduces the hardware processing platform TMS320C6678 detailedly,including kernel performance,interface module and hardware support for inter-core communications.Finally,the project implementation based on XX band radar test system is completed.Based on the previous algorithm and hardware support,we design the overall project and program architecture,so as to accomplish the function of radar target search,detection and tracking.
