With the increasing of gross domestic product and people's standard of living,more and more vehicles are owned by the residents.The increasing vehicles on urban roads and highways have caused great pressure on the regulation and programming of traffic.In order to resolve traffic issues,many cities build intelligent transportation system to alleviate traffic problems.As an important part of information collection,traffic radar monitoring technology has gradually become a focused area.Antenna is the key part of radar monitoring system,and its research is of great value and significance.In this thesis,based on the SIW technology,SIW slot traveling wave array antenna and beam shaped antenna on K band for traffic monitoring are researched.This thesis is organized as follow.The structure and design equation of SIW are introduced in this thesis.The design method of SIW slot array is described.The SIW circuit-related transitions are discussed.In this thesis,the array antenna synthesis of low sidelobe is carried out by Chebyshev synthesis and Taylor synthesis.The GA is described and programed to optimize the amplitude and phase of the array element excitation.The pattern synthesis is realized.A traveling wave slot array antenna on SIW for traffic monitoring is designed in this thesis.Firstly,a 16 element SIW linear array is designed and then 1 ? 4 Power divider and transitions structure are optimized.The 4?16 SIW array achieves beam steering.The main beam points at an angle of 21.5° and the sidelobe is low.The results of measurement fit with the simulation.The performance of designed antenna is good and is suitable for 24 GHz traffic monitoring.An array antenna is designed with shaped beam based on the genetic algorithm in this thesis.In order to achieve a lower sidelobe level,a linear array with Taylor distribution is designed.The radiation pattern of the linear array at different positions in the array is obtained according to the active element pattern method.The amplitude and phase of each port are optimized by genetic algorithm.The antenna can realize cosecant square beamforming within a range of 35°.The simulation results show that the designed antenna shaped beam is basically the same as the target function and achieves the design requirements.
