As a new type of electronical products which breaks the fixed shape limitation, stretchable and flexible electronics has gained widespread application and become the focus of research in many fields including wearable devices, biology, medical treatment, energy and so on.In inorganic flexible electronic system, stretchable interconnects of island-bridge structure bear the main deformation, playing an important role in the realization of stretchability and flexibility for flexible electronics. The main content of current research on stretchable interconnects is the realization and enhancement of stretchability.During the deformation process, the changes in the shape of the stretchable interconnects lead to the changes in its electrical properties, which may lead to many signal integrity problems in the flexible electronics. Therefore, there is a theoretical and practical guidance to analyze the electrical characteristics of stretchable interconnects under deformation. In this paper, the electrical characteristics of inorganic flexible interconnects were analyzed by using stretchable and flexible electronic design platform, and the analytical models for stretchable interconnects were established.According to the characteristics of stretchable and flexible interconnect structure, the simulation and analytical model for flexible interconnects electrical properties analysis provides a theoretical reference for the design of flexible electronics. The main work is described as follows:?1?Parasitic parameters extraction of stretchable interconnects. The simulation model for stretchable interconnects is established to extract parameters such as parasitic resistance, inductance and capacitance parameters of stretchable interconnects with different deformation. The impact of skin effect caused by frequency increasing, electromagnetic field distribution changes due to deformation of interconnects and other factors on parasitic parameters is analyzed.?2?Frequency domain analysis of stretchable interconnects. The transmission characteristics of the stretchable interconnects and the crosstalk between the coupled stretchable interconnects for different deformation conditions is simulated on frequency domain.Comparing the S-parameter results for single flexible interconnect calculated by the equivalent circuit with the simulation results obtained by using the flexible electronic design platform, the error of S11 parameter is only 3%,and the error of S21 parameter is less than7%.The S-parameter model for single flexible interconnect can accurately describe the transmission characteristics of the flexible wire.?3?Time domain analysis of stretchable interconnects.Analyze the crosstalk between the coupled stretchable interconnects in the time domain, and establish a crosstalk model under stretching deformation based on the equivalent circuit. The error between the results obtained by the crosstalk model and the simulation results is less than 15%,which can reflect the variation of crosstalk with the change of the strain on the interconnects, the distance of the wires and the signal frequency.Analyze the delay from step response based on stretchable interconnects in the drive-interconnect-load structure, and establish a delay model. The validity of the proposed delay model within a tolerance of 13%was proved by comparing the simulation results with measurements, demonstrating that the proposed model.Analyze the timing problems caused by crosstalk by discussing the influence of crosstalk between coupled stretchable interconnects on the delay.
