Space-time adaptive processing is a key technology of new airborne radar system.By combining with advanced phased array system,it has the advantages of strong clutter suppression,robustness and anti-interference.Based on the principle of STAP technology and the principle of radar jamming,this paper proceeds from the theory of STAP to look for its defects,focuses on the doppler jamming and suppressing jamming methods to effectively counter the radar equipped with STAP system,and establishes corresponding models to simulate the jamming methods.Firstly,the basic principle of STAP technology and the limitation of algorithm are studied.Starting from the airborne radar system's work environment,the array antenna model and the clutter geometric model of airborne radar are introduced in detail,and the modeling and simulation are carried out.Then the basic idea of STAP technology algorithm is described in detail,that is,two dimensional signal processing of space and time is carried out simultaneously.The limitations of the STAP algorithm are analyzed,mainly including the large amount of operation and the training samples and performance reduction in nonhomogeneous environment,providing theoretical support for subsequent research.Secondly,starting from the space-time two-dimensional guidance vector of the STAP system,this paper study the doppler jamming for STAP system,including frequency shift transmit jamming,velocity gate pull-off jamming,and doppler noise jamming.These jamming methods can make enemy radar system form inaccurate steering vector by modulating doppler frequency on target echo signal through different methods.The simulation results show these doppler jamming methods are valid.Thirdly,starting from the sample covariance matrix of STAP system,this paper study the suppression jamming for STAP system,including multi-point source jamming,timedelay aliasing transmission jamming,convolution modulation jamming based on intermittent sampling.The multi-point source jamming is mainly based on the characteristics that the degree of freedom of the STAP system must be greater than that of the clutter,and the use of multiple jammers as much as possible to occupy the degree of freedom of the system,resulting in the decline of the performance of the STAP system.Time-delay aliasing transmission jamming and the convolution modulation jamming based on intermittent sampling can generate false targets through different methods,form heterogeneous environment,and reduce STAP processing performance.The simulation results show these jamming methods are valid.
