Image compression coding techniques are commonly used in the design of digital image transmission systems.Mostly,image transmission systems on the market at present use standard video coding protocols(H.264,H.265,etc.)to implement video stream compression,which reduce the amount of data by removing image frame redundancy and can not be applied to the fields of aviation military reconnaissance,satellite remote sensing,and rocket-borne video,which have high dynamic random access capability and quality requirements.Therefore,we designed a compression coding system based on image sequence,treating the video data as a continuous single-frame still image and encoding each frame image to obtain better compression effect.In terms of technology,the JPEG2000 compression algorithm is used in the system for image encoding.Compared with other compression algorithms such as SPIHT and JPEG,JPEG2000 has the advantages of supporting progressive image transmission,compatible with lossy compression and lossless compression,and supporting region of interest coding.It can compress different features(such as natural images,calculator graphics,medical images,remote sensing images,composite text,etc)and different types(binary,grayscale,color,etc.)of static images efficiently and obtain better quality reconstructed images.In terms of system design,we used "FPGA+ADV212 Dedicated Integrated Chip" processing architecture to realize the encoding and decoding process of image sequence,Which has the characteristics of small size,light weight,high compression ratio and fast encoding speed.The key parameters of image data such as data format,compression mode(select lossy compression or lossless compression),compression ratio can be adjust flexibly.In addition,this paper also discusses the design process of QPSK modulation and demodulation system based on STEL-1109 and STEL-2105 chips,which is used to realize remote transmission ofcompressed code stream.
