Study On The Behavior And Attitude Of Wechat In The Elderly

The development of new media technology has promoted the integration of all aspects of Chinese society into the "network world".Networked daily life has gradually become popular,but for the elderly,the changes in new media technologies and modes of communication have brought certain life to their lives.influences.Nowadays,the proportion of the total number of elderly people in the total population of China is constantly expanding,the degree of aging is deepening,and aging has become a social issue that the Chinese government pays more attention to.The traditional methods of respecting the elderly and supporting the elderly can no longer satisfy the current elderly people's pursuit of happy life in their later years.Investigating and understanding the behaviors and attitudes of the elderly on new media tools can help the elderly actively and correctly integrate into the new media environment and help the elderly adapt to the new Lifestyle,better integrated into the new media society.As the most popular instant messaging tool,WeChat plays an important role in improving the communication between the elderly and young people,enriching the life style of the elderly,and avoiding the disconnection between the elderly and the society.Based on this,this paper mainly studies the behavior and attitude of WeChat in the elderly,and reflects the new media life of the elderly through empirical investigation.The main research object of this paper is the elderly population over 55 years old in Nanchang City.Through the final collection of 294 valid questionnaire data and 10 in-depth interview records of the elderly,the statistical analysis of their WeChat behavior and attitude is carried out to focus on the elderly population.The basic situation of WeChat social behavior,WeChat reading preferences and the influence of WeChat on old age.According to the survey,the majority of elderly WeChat users are younger and older.Most of the elderly are exposed to WeChat through the introduction of their children.The most basic social function of WeChat is the most commonly used function of the elderly,and the WeChat social circle of the elderly is more.It is around family and friends,and is based on acquaintances.The motivation for using WeChat is simple and pure,mainly to increase family ties and entertainment.In WeChat reading,older people like to pay attention to health and health articles.Most elderly people compare Recognize the positive impact of WeChat on its elderly life,and maintain a certain vigilance against the rumors and false information circulating on WeChat.However,the survey also found that the elderly have a relatively simple understanding of WeChat,only shallow use and mostly passive participation.Therefore,from the perspective of media literacy,this paper proposes reasonable and effective suggestions for the use of WeChat by the elderly to help the elderly correctly understand and use new media such as WeChat,so that the elderly can actively and happily integrate into the new media environment.
