As a mass media,TV has become an important medium for information transmission,news broadcast and art appreciation since its birth.The emergence of television has broken the barriers of time and space,so that people can know the world without leaving home.As television media becomes more and more important in people's lives,people are subconsciously influenced by the context built by television media.Moreover,television media can bring different types of people to the same "situation" and accept the same information.At this time,the TV medium is more like an invisible hand,which controls or influences people's thinking and behavior to a certain extent.Therefore,it is especially important to understand the impact on society and individuals in the context of TV media shaping.With many questions about the TV media situation,the author tried to find the TV media through his research on the TV media situation by studying the related works of American communication scholar Joshua Meyrowitz,one of the representatives of the New York School.The influence of social behavior,from the perspective of media situation,provides reference for the development of China's television practice and theoretical development.This paper is divided into four chapters,the first chapter introduces the academic history of Meyrowitz and the source of his theoretical ideas;the second and third chapters follow the research ideas of Meyrowitz to analyze how the TV media is What is the mechanism for shaping new situations and influencing social behaviors? The fourth chapter combines the current situation of TV development in China,and views the problems existing in China's TV practice from the perspective of media situationalism,and the research ideas of Merowitz on China's TV theory.What positive significance brings.
