With the development of wireless communication technology,the frequency spectrum resources of the microwave frequency band are becoming increasingly tense,and more and more people are turning their attention to the millimeter wave band.Millimeter wave devices have gradually become a research hotspot.In addition,the requirements for miniaturization of equipment are getting higher and higher,but in the communication devices,the structure of the passive components of the filter and the antenna determines the size of the equipment.Effective combination of filters and antennas can both have the characteristics of them,meeting the communication requirements at the same time and effectively reduce the volume of the communication equipment.Besides,because the filter and the antenna are two independent devices,they need to be connected via the connectors.Filtering antennas do not need the connection cable which brings the loss and increase the antenna gain.Substrate integrated waveguide is a new type of transmission line structure.It has similar characteristics of low insertion loss and high Q value as a rectangular waveguide,but it has much smaller volume and weight than the waveguide,it also reduces production costs and is easily integrated with other devices,substrate integrated waveguides are an excellent candidate for millimeter-wave circuit and device design.In this thesis,based on the development status of filters and antennas,a multi-layer substrate integrated waveguide filter antenna with a center frequency of 24.45 GHz is designed using the substrate integrated waveguide technology.At the same time,a 1×2 filtering antenna array,a 1×2 MIMO filtering antenna and a 2×2 MIMO filtering antenna are designed and fabricated based on this filtering antenna element.The main work of the paper includes the following aspects:1.Based on the resonance mode of substrate integrated waveguide resonator,a three-layer substrate integrated waveguide millimeter wave filter is designed and the integrated design method of antenna and filter is analyzed.2.The advantages and disadvantages of the rectangular slot antenna and the bow-tie slot antenna are analyzed.A wideband radiator with a bow-tie slot antenna as a millimeter wave filtering antenna is determined.The third cavity of the multi-layer substrate integrated waveguide filter is used to realize a miniaturized wideband filtering antenna,and the antenna gain had good bandpass characteristics.The antenna is fabricated and with a bandwidth of 500 MHz and in-band gain of 3.3 d B was realized,the test results are in good agreement with the simulation results.3.A 1×2 array antenna was designed using a multi-layer substrate integrated waveguide filter antenna element.At the same time,the array antenna was processed and tested to achieve a gain of 5d B and a bandwidth of 500 MHz.In addition,a 1×2 MIMO antenna and a 2×2 MIMO antenna were designed based on the orthogonal arrangement of the filter antenna units.The 1×2 MIMO antenna was processed and tested,and the isolation within the passband reached 30 d B.
