Xinjiang News and Publishing is a periodical issued by the Xinjiang Provincial Book and Newspaper Development Center under the supervision from the provincial Press and Publication Bureau.Undoubtedly,it is a consulting platform and authoritative media for Xinjiang's news publishing industry to communicate information,interpret policies,exchange experiences and explore business,being called “colorful name card” of the industry.At the same time,among the lawfully issued professional journals of editing and publishing,Xinjiang News and Publishing is the representative of this area's periodicals.With its own special features,it plays an important role in promoting the development of the press and publishing industry in this area and enriching China's news publishing market.This thesis studies the development of Xinjiang News and Publishing from the later half of 2003(the first issue)to 2017.Editing and publishing features and professional influence of this periodical will be studied based on literature,data and other effective information.Furthermore,the existing problems and corresponding optimization suggestions will be discussed on the basis of a SWOT analysis,as reference to improve the overall level of Xinjiang News and Publishing.The author believes that the journal in the future development road should continue to maintain the existing advantages and abandon the old ways of running the journal,create characteristic brand periodicals,strengthen the standardization,standardization construction,periodical internationalization or geared to the needs of international development,make full use of modern information technology,improve the comprehensive quality of editing team,optimize personnel structure,improve the journal's academic level,realize journal healthily and sustainable development.The ultimate goal is to attract more people in the industry to deeply pay attention to similar journals,especially to discuss the development ways of journals in xinjiang,to find the best way out of the dilemma as much as possible,and to usher in a new booming situation.
