It is crucial to obtain high-contrast and sharp images in urban traffic,video surveillance,public safety,navigation,monitoring,and remote sensing.However,affacted by the adverse outdoor weather conditions,the hazy images captured by Conventional Imaging System are significantly degraded and the details are lost seriously,with the particles in the atmosphere scattering.To solve this problem,Digital Image Defogging Technology and Optical Image Dehazing Technology are studyed to restore the hazy images' color and details.Among them,Polarization Imaging Dehazing Technology has been widely used by scholars at home and abroad,with wide range of application,good dehazing effect,and strong practicality.However,current Polarization Imaging Systems have the disadvantages of poor real-time performance,low resolution,and poor recovery image quality.Focusing on the research of polarization imaging detection and its imaging system,this paper analyzes Polarization Imaging Detection Principle,and current real-time polarization imaging systems.Besides,a Four-camera Polarization Imaging System with parallel optical axes is designed,and its principle prototype is completed.Processing the four linear polarization images of the same scene captured by the prototype,we obtain a clear defogged images.The main work of this paper is described follows:(1)To solve the problem of low visibility images captured in fog and haze weather,based on Polarization Imaging Detection Principle,this paper designs a Four-camera Real-time Polarization Imaging System with Computational Imaging.The system has no mechanical rotation structure,with good reliability and stability;And it is not affected by external conditions changed with time,threfore the system has strong environmental adaptability and high spatial resolution.(2)This paper uses Optical Design Software ZEMAX to optimize the initial structure of the optical system,and design the Four-camera Polarization Imaging Optical System.As Zernike Aberration Standard Coefficient and aberration curves show,the optical system quality is expected.(3)According to the design results of optical system and application requirements of polarization imaging,this paper completes the optical component selection and principle prototype assembly of Four-camera Real-time Polarization Imaging System.And expected four linear polarization images of the same scene under hazy weather conditions were collected.Processing the four images captured by the prototype,the processed images are greatly improved in visual effects and objective evaluation indicators,compared with the original images.It verifiys feasibility and practicality of Four-camera Real-time Polarization Imaging System,and further proves the necessity and application value of this paper.
