The development of wireless network technology makes it possible for people to access the Internet anytime and anywhere.Wireless networks nowadays are found in all areas of human society. However, the openness of wireless networks makes network security face severe challenges. In practical applications, there are often two kinds of security problems. One is that an attacker attacks a wireless network by masquerading as a legitimate user, and the other is that an attacker masquerades as a legitimate device and then implements an attack.Authentication is an important way to ensure network security. When the security of a wireless network is enhanced by means of authentication, both devices and users accessing the network should be authenticated.Based on the analysis of existing authentication schemes, this paper summarizes the shortcomings of the existing schemes and divides their shortcomings into two categories:(1)There is no dual authentication for device identity and user identity, only the device identity authentication or only user authentication;(2)There is dual authentication for user identity and device identity, but the authentication mechanism chosen for authentication is vulnerable. To enhance the security of wireless networks, this paper studies existing RF fingerprint extraction and identification technologies and existing wireless network authentication schemes. The main research results obtained are as follows:1.In the research of radio frequency fingerprint extraction and identification, this paper proposes an improved radio frequency fingerprint extraction and identification scheme based on constellation trace figure, referred to as “improved scheme”.The improved scheme not only reduces the number of uncertain parameters, but also improves the correct recognition rate and anti-noise performance of the system by using cluster center difference as the radio frequency fingerprint feature vector.Experiments show that when the SNR is 30 d B,the average correct recognition rate of the system is 99.3197%.When the SNR is 15 d B,the average correct recognition rate of the system is 97.0289%.2.During the experimental analysis of the improved scheme,it was found that when the maximum distance equal number is large, the performance of the system is vulnerable to the “distortion point”.To solve this problem, this paper proposes an enhanced scheme based on the improved scheme. The scheme reduces the effect of the “distortion point” on the system performance, and further improves the system's anti-noise performance and correct recognition rate.Experiments show that when the SNR is 30 d B,the average correct recognition rate of the system is 99.6592%.When the SNR is 15 d B,the average correct recognition rate of the system is 97.9259%.3.In the aspect of authentication scheme research, based on the radio frequency fingerprint enhanced scheme, this paper proposes an authentication scheme based on radio frequency fingerprint and biometric fingerprint, and verifies the feasibility of the scheme through simulation experiments. This scheme authenticates device based on radio frequency fingerprints and authenticates user based on biometric fingerprints. These two authentication methods complement each other, achieving dual authentication of device identity and user identity, and greatly enhancing the security of wireless network.
