As a long-distance Internet of Things technology solution,LoRa(Long Range)is a long-distance wireless transmission method with linear Chirp spread spectrum modulation.Comparing with other IoT technologies,LoRa is widely used by metering Instrument Companies because of its cheaper deployment and use costs.In order to construct the wireless meter reading system,LoRa base station should be set up before the terminal meter is deployed.However,the current test methods for building wireless meter reading network are poor in portability and data analysis ability,so that the wireless meter reading network system can not reach the optimal level.In view of the shortcomings of the existed wireless meter reading network system configuration,this paper designs and produces a set of experimental prototype of metrological network coverage analysis system based on LoRa technology,which provides a new way to construct the optimal wireless meter reading network system.The system is designed with modularization idea and composed of three parts: portable road measuring instrument,LoRa base station and background management software.The system can record the signal intensity between the portable road tester and the base station at each test site,the location and quantity of the base station can be determined by analyzing the recorded data,which improves the convenience of the test,saves a lot of time,reduces the deployment cost of the base station,and optimizes the configuration of the wireless meter reading network system.Among them,the portable road measuring instrument is mainly used to simulate the terminal measuring instrument,to improve the convenience of testing;The LoRa base station is used to receive the data sent by the portable road measuring instrument and simulate the communication process between the terminal measuring instrument and the LoRa base station;Background management software is mainly used to configure the basic parameters of LoRa module,store and analyze the test data,and calculate the packet loss rate.According to the design requirements and specific functions of measurement network coverage analysis system,an experimental prototype of measurement network coverage analysis system is designed and manufactured.Under the condition of the LoRa base station location fixed,the field performance test shows that the link communication of the system is normal,the packet loss rate of LoRa can be automatically counted and the signal intensity of the corresponding location can be displayed,and thus the performance coverage of the corresponding location LoRa network can be judged intuitively,which satisfied the configuration requirement of the wireless meter reading network system and achieved the expected design goal.
