With the rapid development of modern electronic measurement technology,signal source of high precision and high resolution and adjustable frequency and inexpensive often be required in some relevant research and field.Such as the technology about relay protection and electronic test and design and simulation,which can generate sine wave and square wave,sawtooth wave and triangle wave and various of waveform.With the development of FPGA and direct digital frequency synthesis technology,it provides hardware support and theoretical basis for the development of new type of digital signal generator.Refer to the present status of the research in the field of signal generator in our country,we study design principle and key technology of signal generator and improved traditional signal generator based on direct digital frequency synthesis technology.we used a kind of digital conversion technology based on ?-?DAC.The transformation technology can achieve higher resolution and conversion accuracy compared to the traditional DAC chip conversion technology.The core processor of the platform adopt design architecture of DSP and FPGA,the DSP chip TMS320F2812 be adopted to complete data transmission with FPGA,the FPGA chip EP4CE6E22C8 N complete wave generator and square frequency doubling.The thesis adopts FPGA hardware circuit board with DSP2812 constitute the whole hardware platform,using NI Lab Windows CVI as waveform display interface,compile communication program from DSP to PC,compile data transmission program from DSP to FPGA,compile verilog logic of data reception and generator,compile verilog logic of square wave frequency doubling respectively,and complete the corresponding simulation results combing with the Model Simulation software.Finally we complete the debug of hardware and software,the experiment results show that the system can generate stable and high resolution and precision of the sine wave and triangle wave,sawtooth wave and pulse signal to achieve high precision of frequency doubling,the experimental results meet the expected design goal.
