The Research On Appeal Elements Of Fiction Based On Reading Context

At present,the most popular definition of Readers advisory in America is: Library provides readers with reading advice based on reader interest,taste and mood,providing services for leisure readers.At present,the terms of reading guidance,reading promotion and bibliographic recommendation are closely related to the concept and content of Readers advisory.Although the library field in China have made positive exploration and achieved some achievements in the field of reading service,the cases are the main ones,and the basic theory research is relatively weak.The core theory of reading advisory,Appeal,is rarely studied in China.Based on the above background,this research focuses on readers advisory,aiming at specific reading context to solve the problem of bibliographic recommendation in different contexts.The main work of this research includes:First,the analysis of reading context and attribute.Based on literature research and content analysis of readers' reading behavior,this research classifies the context factors that affect readers' reading behavior,and constructs the hierarchical context model which includes context types,context attributes and context values.Then,the identification of appeal elements in fiction.Through the research of the foreign appeal theory,the appeal elements in the present research are combed,and the appeal elements of fiction are verified by the grounded theory,and the eighteen appeal elements of fiction are finally determined.Finally,identified and matched the appeal elements in different reading contexts.The different reading contexts in the second chapters are converted into specific reading situations.Through interviews,the effects of reading situations on readers' reading choices are found and matched appeal elements to different reading contexts.Theoretically,this paper extends and advances the existing research of reading context,combs the existing theory of appeal and puts forward some "new" appeal elements based on fiction,,enriches and develops research themes,research contents and research results in the field of reading.Practically,the results of this research can be applied to readers advisory and provide a theoretical framework for readers‘ advisor.
