Ancient and famous trees are precious treasures left by the long history.They have extremely high value in scientific research,humanities,history and tourism,meanwhile they also have nonrenewability.The research focused on the image information of ancient and famous trees,satisfied the demand for tree health diagnosis based on chlorosis proportion,analyzed and researched the health diagnosis and conservation measures of ancient and famous trees in order to seek innovative expression methods.Finally,digital image engineering technology was used to achieve the system,called ancient and famous tree health diagnosis system.To solve such problems,this paper makes the following contributions:(1)Research on tree image extraction methods in complex background.This paper proposes the improved Robust matting algorithm.Firstly,the image is divided into foreground and background by GrabCut algorithm.Secondly,an interactive image segmentation trimap generation algorithm is used to generate the trimap automatically.Finally,the original image and the trimap were taken as the input of Robust matting algorithm to complete tree image extraction.The extraction results show that the improved algorithm has less interaction and better edge processing effect.(2)Image analysis method of ancient and famous trees health diagnosis.Firstly,Gaussian filtering is used to remove image noise.Secondly,the improved Robust matting algorithm is used in tree images to separate the target from the background,and extract the target tree as a ROI.Converting color space from RGB to HSV,lastly combined with the components range of green carry out the calculation of chlorosis proportion,and obtain the growth status and health level of ancient and famous trees.(3)Development of an ancient and famous trees health diagnosis system based on image.Arbors were taken as the research object,and chlorosis proportion is the demand from scholars in College of Forestry and College of Landscape Architecture and Arts in our school.Based on tree images and chlorosis proportion,on the basis of in-depth analysis of the knowledge of health diagnosis and conservation of ancient and famous trees,developed ancient and famous trees health diagnosis system based image and chlorosis proportion,with small number of interactions,strong usability,easy extension and a certain degree of practicality.
