In our society,sharply increasing of network terminal is taking higher requirements about network flow transmission.And because of that,the weak points of traditional network are more and more clear.Traditional architecture of network is ruled by developers of network device and network functions is bound with network devices.But one new architecture,called Software Defined Network(SDN),which separates data plane and controller plane of network devices,would improve scalability and maintainability of network.OpenDaylight(ODL)is a platform making SDN come true.Compared with traditional network,the separation in SDN lifts the relationship between functions and devices.With SDN,we can manage devices globally while the router is be a unit in traditional network.Thus we have a new way to think about difficult in network developing.This system uses SDN network framework,OpenDaylight,to develop.It communicates with network devices via protocol plugins.It communicates with other function plugins via management plugin.And it provides a way for users to call functions via remote procedure call(RPC)protocol.So the OpenDaylight-based system will provides user-friendliness way to configure flow path and smart flow-optimizer to avoid network crowding.This system using SDN network framework,provides a easy way to manage devices and a possible way to solve flow blocking.SDN is a idea about new network architecture and will have a better performance on meeting requirements in present network comparing with traditional network.
