Recently,multi-receiver application in wireless sensor network has been widely used.Energy,computing and storage capabilities of nodes are limited,meanwhile,nodes are usually deployed in hostile environment.Multicast can not only reduce the load of source nodes and network bandwidth,but also improve the reliability of packet transmission.Therefore,study on multicast routing protocols to improve the reliability of packet transmaission has become a hot research area.Beacon-based single-source multicast routing needs to exchange beacons periodically,which causes waste of energy.In beaconless multicast routing,nodes with low residual energy may appear in the selected path,which leads to the instability of multicast path.In this thesis,an energy-aware beaconless multicast routing,EBMR,is proposed.In EBMR,the ISODATA algorithm is used to divide the destination nodes into different clusters,which can reduce number of transmission and energy consumption.In order to improve the reliability of the path,EBMR selects next forwarding node basing on location,distance and residual energy.The proposed protocol is verified through theoretical analysis and simulation results.EBMR protocol can decrease the energy consumption and delay,and improve the packet delivery ratio.BATS code has lower complexity of coding and decoding,an intermediate node can only apply coding on packets in the same batch,so as to eliminate the interference between multiple sources.Therefore,a BATS-based multi-source multicast routing protocol is proposed in this thesis.In this protocol,the source node uses outer coding to generate coded packets in batches.Then the intermediate nodes handle the received batches with inner coding.These encoded packets are decoded to original packets by destination node sets.The protocol proposed above is verified through theoretical analysis and simulation results.Compared with network coding-based multi-source multicast routing protocol,this protocol can improve decoding ratio,packet delivery ratio and network lifecycle.
