In recent years, with the development of mobile technology, smart phones has become popular in the visually impaired population. With the rapid development of mobile Internet service and the implement of emerging technology, the use of smart phones of visually impaired people has made it increasingly convenient in every parts of their lives.Facing the new interaction technology, visually impaired users may evolve their cognition about the interface from a "one-dimension model" to a "two-dimension model",and the location information might be perceived. This paper hopes to explore the difference of position cognition of visually impaired users when using touch screen, analyze the result of cognitive difference according to the results and behavior data of the experiment, and draw the design guidelines suggestion on the position and layout of the touch screen interactive object. Then, the results are applied, according to the actual needs of visual impairment users,to an online shopping mobile phone application to evaluate and improve its interface design. The research started to lead an experiment with button-searching tasks, based on the classic searching task interface of commonly used applications.Researchers designed the experimental task of the button list search, built the experimental platform, measured the correctness of the position cognition, recorded the completion time, touch tracking, the eye movement data and so on.After completing the task, participants were asked to rate the different dimensions of the layout usability. The results found the differences of cognition in different locations, and noticed a better performance of low-sight participants than the blind, but not significantly worse than the normal sighted. For behavioral aspects, the visually impaired participants had lower speed and more time in edges and corners, and in the right edge was even slower. For the preference of layout,3-4 columns and 4-5 rows had the highest rating, and for the visually impaired,4 columns were most attractive, and 6-7 rows were increasingly difficult for them.According to the results and discussion, guidelines of layout and button location design were given. The guidelines were then implemented in an online shopping application. The requirements of content information about online shopping of visually impaired university students were evaluated by a questionnaire, followed by an exploratory factor analysis. The results showed the factor structure and preference rating, which provided guidance of information arrangement. In the last part, according to the former conclusion,an evaluation and suggestions were made to the page of product details of an online shopping mobile application.
