Human society has entered the era of big data in which processing and exchanging of data between man and man,man and thing,thing and thing happens all the time.With the rapid progress of computer technology and network technique,it has been a trend to centrally store and process data.In addition,with the launch of the "Internet +" action plan in China,data centers as the platform of data processing and exchanging have ushered in a new round of largescale construction and development.In the progress of building and using data centers,automatic control system for central air-conditioning plays an important role.On the one hand,it takes the responsibility of controlling devices of central air-conditioning system to cool data centers reliably.On the other hand,it has a direct impact on the energy consumption level of central air-conditioning system and the PUE of data centers.Along with the growth of per unit area heat of data centers and the increase of national requirements for energy saving and emission reduction,automatic control system for central air-conditioning in data centers is confronted with a severe test.Based on the summary of the automatic control system for general central air-conditioning and according to the characteristics of central air-conditioning system in data centers,this paper designs an automatic control system for central air-conditioning in data centers,which has the advantages of high reliability,energy-saving and rich function.Moreover,this automatic control system is applied to engineering practice.The automatic control system for central air-conditioning in data centers,which is proposed by this paper,ensures the reliability with the method of decentralized control,hot standby,functional redundancy and automatic fault processing,so as to meet the needs of ceaseless cooling.Besides,to ensure the energy-saving effect,the system adopts the energysaving control strategy of the load-unload strategy,the chilled water system energy-saving control strategy and the cooling water system energy-saving control strategy.Meanwhile,the system effectively improves the management level and achieves rich function by using the master computer control scheme of combining KingView and the central air-conditioning automatic control software.Firstly,this paper introduces the relevant knowledge of the central air-conditioning system and analyses the demands of the automatic control system for general central air-conditioning.According to the characteristics of central air-conditioning system in data centers this paper also puts forward the special requirements of the automatic control system for central airconditioning in data centers.Secondly,this paper proposes a function design of the automatic control system for central air-conditioning in data centers according to the control demand and the characteristics of central air-conditioning system and designs the framework of the system based on DCS,in addition,this paper analyses and improves the control strategies which determine the stability and the energy-saving effect of central air-conditioning system.Thirdly,S7-300 and S7-200 are selected as the main controller and the sub controller respectively,and the corresponding program is finished.Fourthly,this paper proposes the master computer control scheme of combining KingView and the central air-conditioning automatic control software based on the functions which need to be realized on master computer.Simultaneously,this paper designs HMIs of KingView and accomplishes the central air-conditioning automatic control software by using C# and OPC technology.Finally,the automatic control system for central air-conditioning in data centers was applied in data center of 21 Vianet and data center of CMS,the actual operation condition of the two data centers' central air conditioning systems shows that the automatic control system is stable,reliable and energy-saving.
