With the development of optical communication system,in order to achieve the purpose of the high speed,large capacity and long-distance communication,the choice of modulation format in the transmission process has become a very crucial step.On this basis,the development of high-speed and high precision of photoelectric signal analysis equipment has very important application value.At the same time,the continuous research of modulation format in the transmission process enables modulation format more and more.Therefore,to analyze for transmission performance of different modulation format is of great significance to the development of future communication system.Firstly,this dissertation introduces the hardware composition of the broadband high speed photoelectric signal analyzer,and chassis,system controller,related peripheral modules is introduced in detail.Secondly,software architecture of broadband high-speed photoelectric signal analyzer is introduced,including the overall framework of analyzer software and software function module partition.Then,the analyzer's test results are presented.Finally,NRZ,RZ,ODB,DPSK,DQPSK and QAM is chosen to proceed optical communication simulation.The principle and the characteristics of the six kinds of modulation format is first introduced.Then,in 10 Gbps,40 Gbps and 100 Gbps communication rate,these modulation formats are simulated.Simulation with these modulation format under different rate get figure of spectrum,the time domain waveform and eye diagram.By analyzing the results of simulation can get the following conclusion: When rate reached more than 100 Gbps,commonly used modulation format in the optical transmission system is impacted seriously.On receiving equipment,it requires complex digital signal processing to recover the original signal,which makes communication system costs increased.High-order modulation formats such as DQPSK and QAM modulation formats exhibit better performance at the same communication rate.Therefore,high-order modulation format as an important way to increase the rate and the communication capacity,should get more attention and research.
