With the development of the information age,the amount of data is doubling,and highcapacity and high-speed fiber-optic communication is undoubtedly the best choice for modern communications.The factors that limit the more stable development of optical fiber communication systems to higher speeds and longer distances are mainly the loss(or attenuation),dispersion and nonlinear effects of optical fibers;while the loss of modern optical fibers has been as low as the theoretical minimum loss of fiber materials.The loss of optical fiber has become a secondary problem,so dispersion and nonlinear effects have become the main factors affecting the quality of optical fiber communication,and have become a hot topic of research.In order to reduce the effect of dispersion on the quality of fiber-optic communication,dispersion compensation of the fiber is required.In the dispersion compensation technology,DCF(Dispersion Compensation Fiber)dispersion compensation is a low-cost,easy-toimplement and widely used dispersion compensation technology.In addition,the application of a new modulation format that applies a mature modulation format to the optical domain in the electrical domain has gradually attracted researchers' attention.Because the new modulation format has many advantages over conventional light intensity modulation.For example,it has an improved transmission rate,high frequency band utilization,reduced channel spacing,certain anti-dispersion performance,and non-linear performance.This paper studies the DCF dispersion compensation scheme based on different new modulation formats.In this paper,four dispersion compensation schemes are proposed for three patterns of the BPSK,DPSK,QPSK and DQPSK modulation formats: pre-compensation scheme,postcompensation scheme,symmetric compensation I scheme and symmetric compensation II scheme.In this paper,the system simulation is carried out for each scheme.The simulation results show that when the transmission rate is 40Gb/s and the transmission distance is 360 km,the dispersion compensation effect of CSRZ-BPSK symmetric compensation II scheme is best in different patterns of the BPSK modulation format;for different pattern of DPSK modulation formats,33% RZ-DPSK symmetric compensation II scheme has the best dispersion compensation effect;for different pattern QPSK modulation formats,the dispersion compensation effect of the symmetric compensation II scheme for 33% RZ-QPSK is the best;for the DQPSK modulation formats of the three different patterns,the dispersion compensation effect of the 33% RZ-DQPSK symmetric compensation II scheme is the best.On the other hand,under the condition of input optical power of 5dBm,the CSRZ-DPSK symmetric compensation II scheme has the best transmission performance when the transmission distance is about 60 km to 280 km.When the transmission distance is between 280 km and 600 km,the 33% RZ-DPSK symmetric compensation II scheme has the best transmission performance.In general,symmetrical compensation II scheme has certain optimization effect on DCF dispersion compensation system.
