At present,the overseas social communication of city image is in full swing between cities in China.The advantages of overseas social media make it an important channel for government subjects to choose when they communicate the city image.However,when the government uses the overseas social media to carry out the city image's communication,these strategies own great problems.Therefore,the author studies the communication strategies on the basis of the relevant cases in Guangdong province.This paper takes content analysis and case analysis as research methods,and puts forward specific problems according to the current situation of city image's communication in overseas social media.Then,based on the case of Guangdong,the communication elements of overseas urban social media are analyzed.After that,the author takes the theory of innovation and diffusion as the focus in oder to deconstruct the communication efficiency on the case of Guangdong,and uses two related cases of Nanjing and Yunnan as an auxiliary case with analyzing the elements of communication and the effectiveness of communication in the case and drawing lessons from the relevant strategies.Finally,integrating the above analysis,the author puts forward related targeted and systematic communication strategies,with the hope of helping the Guangdong Province and other cities in the prospective of city image's communication in overseas social media.
