With the development of Internet technology,the traditional business of the original telecom operators has been greatly impacted and eroded from the Internet data business.For example,WeChat,QQ has replaced the original SMS,and Skype voice phone has replaced the old overseas call.On the other hand,operators' investment in upgrading and updating network devices is increasing year by year.Operators are faced with a cruel situation of increasing investment costs while reducing revenues on the other side.Operators are not willing to be marginalized,hoping to introduce the IT gene to reconsitution the network.The NFV architecture is an important way to achieve reconsitution.So the vendors of LTE core network need to refactory their products by NFV.This paper studies,designs and realizes the transformation of LTE core network into NFV architecture.As the LTE core network is already existing network element entity,so in the NFV transformation,do not need all the development from scratch,as far as possible in the original design of the reconstruction,this paper is based on these four steps to achieve: software,virtual Chemical,cloud,decomposition The main work of software is two aspects.First,the LTE core network from the original embedded platform,modified to the current X86 platform,the other is to follow the cloud architecture of the nine principles of reconstruction.The main work of virtualization is the improvement of performance As the characteristics of virtualization will lead to serious performance impact,mainly reflects the calculation and IO aspects,this paper,the performance of the performance and network performance improvement was designed and implemented.The main task of the cloud is to automate the deployment and elasticity of the expansion.The main task of decomposition is to modify the original centralized architecture into a distributed architecture,in a micro-service manner,to provide support for elasticity.In addition,this paper developed VNFM for the virtualized programming and management as domain MANO in the NFV architecture.This is a new project to realize the life cycle management,performance monitoring and elasticity expansion of each virtual network function VNF in the LTE core network.At the end of this paper,made tested and verified the network element in the LTE core network can be created automatically through VNFM,and the performance can be monitored.It is feasible to transform the LTE core network into the NFV architecture,which also provides technical guidance for NFV transformation of other networks(such as IMS networks).
