Along with the development of communication, all users wish to communicate with others at every moment and in everywhere. Different users need different delay time and loss rate. Mobile network should provide different quality of service to different users. How to resolve this problem in the 3rd generation mobile system is an important issue.According to the research in the 3rd generation mobile system and the model of quality of service the research work mentioned in the paper is mainly about:1. The research on Web QoS and Network QoS. Concepts, classification, protocols and key technology of Web QoS and Network QoS are presented; Integrated Services and Differentiated Services on TCP/IP network are studied in details.2. The design of QoS-aware 3rd generation mobile system packet switched core network. The technologies and system architechure of Differentiated Services QoS are analyzed in details. To combine DiffServ and 3rd generation mobile packet system, DiffServ-based packet core network is designed on the base of mobile telecom network; the popular queue algorithms and queue scheduling algorithms have been discussed also.3. The implementation of QoS-aware 3rd generation mobile system packet switched core network. The packet classification, queue and scheduling technology in Linux operating system are analyzed in detailed, and the corresponding data structure, program flow are presented in this paper.4. Test and result analysis. The thesis tests the designed DiffServ-based packet core network's behavior through Techtrokics testing tool K1297_G20 which is used to simulate different data flow. The analyzed test results verify the QoS guaratee function of the designed packet...
