Gas is widely used in industrial production,catering industry,and residents' lives.How to collect and manage distributed remote gas meters is a key issue for gas companies.With the high-speed growth of automated industry,traditional gas meter reading technology has been unable to meet the needs of gas companies because of its low accuracy,poor real-time performance,and high expense of human and material resources.It has gradually been replaced by remote meter reading technology.The gas company's remote collection and management system designed in this paper is an implementation of gas automatic meter reading technology.It can make up for the lack of traditional meter reading methods and realize the gas company's data collection and monitoring of scattered instruments on various industrial sites.This article mainly expounds the following three aspects in detail:(1)The design of the Minimal System for Embedded Data Acquisition of industrial gas meters.Based on the embedded system,this part designs the peripheral circuit such as the power supply module,correspondence port module,GPRS DTU module,etc.It is capable of real-time collection and remote communication of various gas parameters for two types of gas meters at industrial site.(2)The design of system software procedure.This paper introduces the choice of software development platform,and explains the data gathering,protocol conversion,correspondence procedure of the slave computer and the data processing program of the upper monitor data center as RS-485 master station.(3)The design of the configuration software of the system monitoring center based on KingView6.55.The interface of the monitoring center and the design of each function module are introduced in detail,and the web page browsing function is realized.The software and hardware test results show that the gas remote data acquisition and management system designed in this paper is stable and reliable,which can achieve the expected design function and meet the needs of gas companies.This article combines the status and development prospects of remote data communication,which has a certain practical value in the field of gas remote meter reading system research.It can be employed in other domains of industrial automation as well.
