| Premier Li Keqiang proposed to settle a vision for the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and steadily advance the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor during his visit to Pakistan in 2013,to promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and Pakistan in the areas of transportation,energy,and oceans.Afterwards,the high levels of the Chinese and Pakistani governments maintained close contacts,continuously increased mutual communication and cooperation,formed a "1+4" economic cooperation program,efficiently promoted the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,and achieved some remarkable achievements.The media started to follow up on related topics after the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was put forward,explained the connotation and significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,reported the progress of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor's project construction,and played an important role in promoting policy communication and implementation.This paper uses the People's Daily's reports of relevant topics of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor from May 2013 to December 2017 as research samples,adopts the document analysis and content analysis,and explores the production process of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor news reports in terms of quantity,genre,location,domain,topic and so on.The study finds that the People's Daily formed a unique news reporting framework and presented a variety of reporting framework features when it reported on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.Mainly include: the reports with diverse genres and good visual effects;the position of the layout is on the front,most of reports are important news;the length of the report is long and the content of the report is exhaustive;the reporting area is relatively concentrated,highlighting the political and economic framework;the topic is diverse and focuses on external visits;the subject of the report is clear,and the government personnel become the focus.Based on the research,this paper rethinks the next phase of the People's Daily's the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor's reports,and suggests that some aspects need to be noted in the future.Mainly include: First,to enrich the reporting form,optimize the narrative approach;Second,to expand the coverage of the report,to broaden the breadth of the report;Third,to expand the main body of the report and to enrich sources. |
