Interpretation Of The Reality Show "My City Dream" In The View Of Social Stratum

In the process of New-type Urbanization in China,a large number of migrant workers are on the edge of urban life,and their actual situation and spiritual needs have received social attention.In 2017,the State Council's Office of Rural Migrant Workers and CCTV Finance Channel jointly launched the ten-family program “My City Dream ” and used the reality show to record the process in which business executives discovered the dream of migrant workers and helped migrant workers realize their dreams.Based on the analysis of the tenth program contents,this article finds that there is a gap between the "dream" of the migrant workers in program and the "dreams" in real life.There is a deviation between the theme of the program and the effect of the actual operation.The program texts show the recognition of the urbanization process in China and the maintenance of the real social class.Judging from the program,the society and enterprise executives showed unidirectionality,currentity,and alternative satisfaction to the migrant workers' dream.The program focused on presenting the difficulties faced by migrant workers and the enterprise's kindness for them,but their dream of urban resident status and value identification have been shelved.Due to the limitations of text analysis,it is difficult to quantify whether the misalignment of television media can help different social groups to understand each other and care for each other,or whether it may intensify potential social conflicts.But what is certain is that the appearance of the “Dream of the City” program has amassed a variety of social forces,allowing people to see the attention of the national government to the migrant workers' community,and the care and goodwill that social successful people and elites have given to migrant workers.We also hope that the television media will develop more programs and sections for migrant workers to focus on.While paying attention to the needs of migrant workers,we must also pay attention to their spiritual pursuit as individuals.
