Design And Implementation Of Bridge Engineering Bidding Management System

It has been a long time since the bell of the twenty-first century was ringed.Following the rapid development of the construction industry,project opportunities we will be dealing with present an equitable trend,soon after which,a new era with involving a lot of bidding work is occurring.As such,one critical subject is drawing the whole construction industry's attention,which is how to improve the chances of winning the bid by effectively utilizingfirms' own advantages.Bidding management is an essential work for construction engineering enterprises.Thus,in such an informational age,to develop a bidding management system which is in line with the actual operating characteristics of the enterprise can improve not only the efficiency of bidding management,but also improve the cost management from the aspects of people,content,and money.To date,the bidding management method that the majority of construction engineering enterprises are applying are still through the manual operation,and to some extent,they treat it as the basic management mode,while computers is simply a tool for storing information.This seriously reduces work efficiency,increase error rate,and consequently leads to cost increment.Therefore,it becomes important to develop a bidding management system which suits firms' own business characteristics.Of course,firms latest statuses need to be sufficiently evaluated before the system development work get started.This thesis is based on the daily bidding management work of Bridge & Tunnel Research Base of Dalian University of Science and Technology as the system development background.At the same time,it elaborates the significance and purpose of systemdevelopmentmanagement.It also Uses B/S network architecture,andbased on the open source WordPress system,Mysql database and PHP programming language which are widely applied nowadays,to complete the overall system development and design work.The functional modules of the system are divided into:User management,Company basic information,project information,Staff personal information,and Document information,in total five functional modules.The realization of this system will provide convenience for the bidding and other related work of Bridge & Tunnel Research Base of Dalian University of Science and Technology.Practice indicates that the bridge project bidding management system can meet the actual needs of the management personnel in the bid management.It also improve the efficiency of the staffs involving the bidding work,reduced management costs for the base,and eventually increased the bid success rate.
