5G technologies are developing rapidly with the promoted by the industry around the world in the recent years.With the features of high speed,low latency and large capacity,5G will be used widely in the emerging industry like automatic drive,VR,smart city and IoT.3GPP approved the Non-standalone 5G NR specifications which are the first 5G NR specs and will be mainly used in the field of enhanced mobile broadband in December,2017.The specs defined that the peak throughput of 5G NR is more than 10 Gbps which is 100 times of LTE and 10 times of LTE Advanced.However,the huge extra memory overhead and the efficiency decrease caused by the change of package process of PDU,make the way which used for packet process in LTE is not able the meet the requirement of 5G NR.Based on concluding the features of 5G NR specs and the current way to process the packet in LTE,this thesis does research on some key technologies of the packet processing of 5G NR.The main content of the research is about:(1)For the Excessive memory overhead,the thesis proposes a scheme on memory management to accelerate the memory operation during the packet process;(2)For the efficiency decrease caused by the change of package process of PDU,the thesis proposes a scheme on PDU memory map to reduce the cost of header allocation and segmentation;(3)For the new pre-processing,the thesis uses multi-thread to make pre-process and other cases like multiple UE to run in parallel,which can reduce the total run time a lot.Based on the schemes for the key technologies,this thesis realizes the packet processing system by coding with C Language.The software implementation has been validated on Intel Xeon Scalable Processors from both functionalities and performance perspective.All spec KPIs and the performance of 10 Gbps throughput have reached the expected design requirements.
