Self-driving technology has made rapid progress in recent years.Large-scale commercialized application is coming nearer and nearer.In order to catch up with the international trend of self-driving technology,the teaching and competition of intelligent cars in high school and secondary vocational school are being vigorously developed.Intelligent cars can be seen as mini self-driving cars.This paper concludes the author's work in designing intelligent cars and discusses the hardware and software design of intelligent cars in detail.This paper adopts modular designing method to design the control system of intelligent cars with its hardware consisting of the following modules:single-chip microcomputer control,power supply,driving system,track-seeking,obstacle avoidance,remote control,light-seeking,Bluetooth,digital display,buzzer hummer,etc.The procedures used in its software design are:steering-engine correction,infrared track-seeking,infrared obstacle avoidance,ultrasonic obstacle avoidance,infrared remote control,light-seeking,mobile phone Bluetooth remote control,etc.The structure of this system is flexible and its hardware and software modules can be added or reduced according to the requirement of teaching and competition.With its reliable performance,this system can be operated stably and it also satisfies the design requirement.Considering the teaching requirement and practical circus of some related majors in secondary vocational school,this system adopts the commonly used STC89C52RC of MCS51 series as its core chip.The main chips used in the modules are also common and cheap with the same principles,method and high portability.If these chips are replaced with more advanced ones,they can be applied to system with higher demand.Therefore,there is very good practicability and promoting value to develop this system.
