AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle) has electromagnetic, optical and other automated guided device, it can travel along the guide path paved in advance and can complete automatic handling. It is a moving mobile robot and a highly flexible, automated modern means of transport, which is widely used in automotive manufacturing and modern logistics industry.This paper combined with the actual demand of the storage center project, considering the development cost of the vehicle body structure, hardware control system, automatic navigation system and the number of sensors technology, obstacle avoidance systems and other related technologies are studied. It aims to design an AGV based Siemens S7-200 PLC control type, through tests to research the mechanical structure of the vehicle body, the mechanical properties of intelligent transportation AGV, and obstacle avoidance performance. The intelligent, advanced and automated of the AGV is fully displayed and the modular design concept of AGV is also displayed in this paper.1. The domestic, international research, the current situation and development trend of AGV is studied.2. According to the requirements for storage technology center, establish the mechanical structure form of performance requirements of AGV, fully use the three-dimensional modeling software PRO/E4.0 of the vehicle body structure to form a detailed design study.3. Using the analysis advantages of ANSYS software, the modal analysis and static analysis of the key parts of the vehicle body structure, the reliability, validation of vehicle body structure of rationality is completed, so as to achieve the requirements of vehicle performance.4. According to the functional requirements of AGV, design the hardware circuit of its motion control. The automatic navigation mode of AGV, site recognition technology and the AGV software control system is designed and researched.This design of intelligent AGV car now installation is completed, the overall effect is good, meet the design requirements SG2300 roadway automated warehousing center project for the late development of the second generation of AGV provides the necessary theoretical foundation and technical assurance.
